I see my life as seashore.
With moments like high tides
And times like low ones.
Days wet with tears like sand
Then others dry and blowing free.
I view my happiness in the gulls-
So free but crying out at times.
And people, like shells,
Litter my soul's shore.
Some broken-some rare
Even common ones lie there.
I pick one up and hear my own life roaring in theirs.
I learn from everyone I meet-
Seeking one that will be unique-
In the seashore of living
Dissolving into the sand and
Washing into the restless sea.

Still waters,
Soft thunder,
Cool breezes,
God.

Hush, world.
Be still.
God's Word
Calls.
