ArchiveThe Greatest Of These Is Love I love to write and teach about God’s love. I once equated sex with love and confused lust and love. Most people have known puppy love and enjoy the love of a friend, brother, or parent. Love is a powerful force. A force that only spiritual beings can manifest. I feel that God is Spirit and perfect love. God’s love energizes me, healed my body, and gives peace to my mind. His love encourages me to love others, to be kind, and not to be so easily offended. God’s love for me has removed the fear of man that tormented my mind for years. This kind of love is "agape." It is the God kind of love, the kind of love that is, like God, unchanging, unwavering, unconditional, and strong. God so loved the world (all people) that He gave His only (uniquely) begotten Son as the sacrifice for the sin of the whole world. God’s love in me now enables me to love people of all races, religions, and denominations. I believe that another word for love is commitment. God is committed to saving His creation. In one act of obedient, committed love, Jesus went to the cross and laid down His life, not just for the Christians or Jews, but for every sinner in the world. All I had to do to qualify for God’s love was to be born into the earth. I can see in the scriptures how Jesus became Adam (me) and took Adam (me) into death. Christ was then raised victorious over death, Hell, and the grave. When He was raised, you and I were also. We were all included in the death and are all included in the resurrection. Jesus said, "Behold, I am He who was alive and was dead and am alive forever more." I too can say that I was alive, and was “dead,” and am alive forevermore. It is not because of what I have done, but because of God’s love for me. No greater love can a man have than to lay down his life for his friends. Jesus laid down His life for His friends and His enemies. Love interceded for them at the cross and love is interceding for us all today. Love empowers faith. Jesus had that perfect love and perfect faith. The greatest goal that I have is to be a person of love. The greatest legacy that I can leave behind is that of love. God’s love has been sown in my heart; it is living and growing. God’s love can be received, and His love can be shunned. I believe that at the end of all the ages God’s love will reach every one. I believe that God’s love cannot fail to save those who unaware of it. Light is greater than darkness. Life is greater than death. Grace is greater than sin. Love is greater than hate. Jesus is victorious! From my position, Love (God) has saved the world. I believe that the spiritual truth (like God) cannot change, and that one great Biblical truth is that Jesus is the Savior of (not just for) the whole world. Experientially, many don’t know what He has done and live in blindness and don’t enjoy oneness with God (life.) I believe that love has and will conquer all, that God will be “all in all” and will reconcile all things in heaven and earth to Himself.
