Faith on God: Joy in Life
By Nancy C. Fottrell
Nancy is a native of Taiwan seeking permanent residence in the United States. She manages an ATV import business based in Taiwan, attends The Vineyard, a charismatic church as well as a Chinese Southern Baptist Bible Study and a Presbyterian Bible Study. Nancy and her American husband, Brian, work and live in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

“If you have faith like a mustard seed, you ask mountain to move and it will”…

I read the testimony of one Chinese Christian. During Mao’s time, God called Peter to devote his life to Christianity, he was wondering if he could succeed as he has big family and they all rely on him for support. But God told him,”First seek His kingdom and His righteousness, everything will be given to you.” He then made up his mind to follow Jesus. God asked him to go to study theology and lift his family to God. He told his wife this. His wife said” What will we eat? We have no support.” He answered her, “Eat God’s Word. First seek His kingdom and His righteousness, everything will be given to you.” Matthew 6:33. His wife is a faithful Christian. She agreed. He went to study theology.

After he finished study in the seminary school, God sent him to Hong Kong. At that time, Chinese government only allowed people to bring one Hong Kong dollar, so he only brought one Hong Kong dollar to Hong Kong. The first 5 days he only ate rice soup, but he met an American missionary and the missionary sent a man to give him US $500. He used this money to register in the seminary school in Hong Kong. After he finished the seminary school, he came to use to serve the ministry. And he immediately applied to INS to let his wife come to be with him. At this time, he has separated with his wife for 30 years. When he met his wife, she is very fat. He asked her “how come you become so fat? What did you eat?” She answered” I eat God’s word”. Praise God, he always keeps His promise. He takes care of this minister’s family.

Peter applied for his children to come to America to be with him and his wife. It is awesome. God prepare the money for all his children. Besides, when Peter retired and his grand children were getting married, he didn’t have money to give to them. He prayed to God and God prepare the money for him. God is always with those who has faith on him.

Do you have faith on God? From now on you should eat God’s words. Then He will feed you.
