Kindness
By Paul L. Young, Jr
Paul L. Young, Jr. is founder of Living Free Ministries. Paul and his wife Mary have traveled to China, Guatemala, Australia, and the Philippines on missionary trips. Paul does weekly prison ministry and has written a book of poems "Out Of Darkness" that is now being published. His focus in ministry is to see all people united in God's love.

To be kind is really great,
But many people are irate.
Some today are never kind,
But are calloused and blind.
When kind seeds are sown,
In hearts, charity is grown.
When spiritual fruit matures
It sustains, frees, and cures.
More of God we will know
As His fruit in us does grow.
When Christ is our identity
Kind and loving we will be.
People are sometimes mean,
Obstinate, rude, and obscene.
Do not give in to their ways;
Manifest kindness every day.
Hateful people exist in pain.
Many hurts these do retain.
Kindness will help them see
That some are alive and free.
Just as night turns to dawn,
To kindness men are drawn.
When we are kind, others see
The way God wants us to be.
