A Spirit Moves, The Body Grows Stronger
By Stephen Steward

Utah TreesA spirit moves in a wood, a mouse gathers food,
A puppy chews on an old shoe, new yesterday
A life changes in less than an hour
These things happen all the time
We perceive some, yet we miss most
Simply put,
People try understanding
God understands the simple
I am is always showing us the perfect
The power of life that God created
A bone mends as long as you sit still and allow it to do so
The living of life that God sustains
A mind can be healed as long as we listen and want acutely the words
The sharing of life that God longs for
The body can be purified as long as we seek it and do what is expected
The caring of life that God has risen for
A life is given anew as long as we ask and receive love from above
Placing a healing hand on my body I can feel the power
Of a Lord who has been calling my name for years
I heard him in the distance
Ran for shelter in other places
Found nothing that could heal me
Cried in the dark for so long
Still hearing His calls of forgiveness
I wept in the halls of Her church
Found love from a group of angels
Living out their lives in splendor
Dressed in clothes like everyone else
Behaving as mortal
Since mortal they are
Deliberate in the end what awaits them
No fear of the paths ahead of our reach
Listening and finding the way I have let pass
Refining my soul and lifting my spirit
So it too can run in the wood
Notice God’s glory in all I can hear, touch and see
Watch as a shoe is converted to a toy
View chipmunks scamper from hole to food
Finding that simple place of healing
Needed by one as me
