Pentecost and My Perspective: We Have Work To Do!
By CJ Randolph

FirefightersPraise Yahveh, Our Father G-d thru whom all blessings flow for allowing His Son, our Messiah Yeshua, known widely to Christians thru Greek interpretation as Jesus Christ, to fill our lives with the power of Amazing Grace—by way of the Ruach haKodesh: the Holy Spirit.

During Pentecost, we reflect on the amazing transformation that occurs in our lives when filled with the Holy Spirit. Once upon a time, we were quiet, hesitant, and even uncertain in speaking boldly for Christ. We were reserved in our efforts to reach out our hands in service and love for others—especially strangers and those who did not fit well our cultural and social comfort zone.

But, when G-d comes to us—filling us with His Spirit, we will never be the same. We will be mightily bold and zestful in matters of Our Father’s Will. Each will receive one of the spiritual gifts written about in I Corinthians 12; which empowers us to serve and love others with a pure heart, as if blindfolded to the standards of our old lives. At least, that is what happened to me.

In January 2006, “I AM; I AM your Father” breathed His Heartache into me thru song. Immediately after that, His Son called out “COME”. I turned and went. He stood before me in vision, I fell upon my knees in reverent awe, tears streaming my face. I drank from the Glory of His Presence. I was overjoyed! I felt as a child—taken unexpectedly by surprise when suddenly blessed by the return of a long lost, much loved, yet almost forgotten, father.

Our Messiah Christ spoke before immersing me in the Holy Living Waters of His Spirit, as if baptized in a river. He said, “There is much you will never know” then proceeded to fill me as an infant still in the womb with sacred, ancient knowledge. As it turns out, He took me inside a Holy Temple in Heaven and told me the story of His youth, pouring scriptural knowledge into my head for which I had no learned foundation.

It turns out we are living on borrowed time, so to speak. We are living out our second chance. Those who stand with Yeshua will be forgiven, cleansed of our sins and allowed into Our Father’s Holy Dimension. Those who do not freely stand with Him, as the light and the only way home, will become fuel as originally decreed by the Elders. We cannot buy a ticket home for anyone except ourselves; every individual must make the choice. As Believers, Messianic Jews and Christians, we are called to tell all about our Lord Christ, while Time‘s River flows.

Before sending me back and on my way to do His Commission as a Messenger, Jesus said, “It’s late; Go Now: Bring as many To Me as humanly possible, by the Hand in Love.” So that’s what I’m doing here, and it’s what I do on grocery store parking lots and downtown sidewalks, in coffee houses, at mobile unit blood drives, and various cause-related, fund raiser events. It is by virtue of the Ruach haKodesh: the Holy Spirit that you and I and others like us are enabled to cross all lines of division and deliver His Call to the many, in situations which we never before engaged! Yet, now, filled with the power of His Holy Spirit, reach outside and deliver G-d’s Plan—His Life-Line: a golden woven rope dropped down from the Heavens. It’s time to follow the Holy Spirits lead: Flip on Christ’s Light for others before darkness falls.

Something else to think about: Being filled with the Holy Spirit does not make us miniatures Of G-D; rather, it awakens us fully to the here and now living existence of Our Father G-d and His Son. We still make many mistakes, maybe more than ever before, and that is why daily prayer is so important. We must hand the keys to our lives over to Yeshua and pray that He lead us the way home; we must be reverently humbled and thankful for the gift of salvation, and we must fully forgive, love, and lift up all who stumble along this life’s journey through time and space.
