Springtime Celebrations!
By Rachel

Rachel is in the 6th grade. Her favorite activities are singing, dancing, acting, drawing, and reading. She belongs to a Presbyterian Church (USA) and lives in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

Let me first start by saying, “Happy 7th Birthday ecumininet online!” I, too, had a birthday this last month, and it feels special to be a bit older. Springtime always brings me cheer, happiness, and excitement!

As most people know, Easter Sunday is always very special and important. We praise the resurrection of Jesus Christ! The joy on Easter Sunday is very overwhelming. People dressed in their nice springtime/ Sunday clothes, many faces there that you don’t see all the time, ready for worship. I’m in the choir at my church, and it’s great to see all the smiling faces their Easter morning. I think the thing that gives me the most energy and happiness is singing the lovely Easter anthems, and smiling the whole time I’m doing it.

On my birthday, I feel very special. All of my friends singing “Happy Birthday” to me, and knowing that they care about me gives me the most joy on my birthday. I love to see al my friends at my birthday party, too. I don’t think it’s the presents that make birthdays special, it’s knowing and seeing how many people care about you. Once again,” Happy Birthday,” ecumininet online! I hope you have many more celebrations!
